May 2021
Tuesday 18th May
WI Social Get together in the Tennis Court.
Tuesday Morning arrived with sun and blue skies, all good for our social get together in the tennis courts in the afternoon.
Everything was going to plan until about 1 o’clock when the dark clouds came, the blue skies disappeared and the thunder arrived along with some hail and rain.
Of course it didn’t put the hardy WI ladies off, 12 of us met up as planned.
Ok we got a bit wet but it was warm rain, and it dried up quite quickly so we all continued catching up and putting the world to rights.
A really enjoyable afternoon after all the uncertain times of the last year.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 22nd June in the Tennis Courts at 7.30pm and it will be our Annual Meeting.
Don't forget to bring your own chair and drink, our faith supper will go ahead when we can meet in the hall.
Hope to see you all then.

June 2021
Our First meeting since March 2020 took place on the 22nd June and was our Annual Meeting, 17 of us attended.
The sun was shining and it was good to meet at last.
After our usual business had been taken care of it was time to go over the years finances, decisions to be made and the selection of our President and Committee.
Pauline was selected as President for the next year and we have a new Secretary, Linda Whiting.
Sid continues her role as Treasurer & Helen is our Vice-President.
Jenny continues her role as Programme Secretary, with Margaret R as our Trip Advisor and with Jackie and Celia as committee members.
We all sat chatting until the sun set behind the trees, it was good to see our friends again.
Please come back for an update on our July meeting date when we have heard from the Government about lifting of restrictions.

September Meeting 2021
October Meeting 2021
We had Sam and Matt Sorrell to speak about Fudge making. They came to live in Lincolnshire to change their way of life and to spend more time together as a family. Matt is a man of many talents, which include Art Glass pictures, constructing Garden pagolas, Fudge making as well as creating a pop up display to sell the fudge from when travelling to different venues. Sam is also a dance teacher as well as making the fudge. Of course we all had some to taste before purchasing several bags to take home. |
November Meeting 2021
Our Meeting in November was a Social meeting.
We had demonstrations from Jenny & Jackie on how to make Sugar Bells & Penguins.
With only 2 ingredients, sugar and water we all made 2 bells to take home and decorate for Christmas.
Jackie showed us how to make Penguins and we all had little families of penguins to take away at the end of the evening.
Maybe next year we can have another go as it was a thorougly enjoyable evening.
Linda Ratcliffe won the raffle and had a bonus prize of the bells that Jenny had prepared earlier.
